Grant Simonds has been with the Idaho Outfitters and Guides Association (IOGA) since 1982. He served as the Executive Director from 1985 to 2014. Currently, he is the IOGA Government Affairs Liaison with a focus on monitoring state and federal agencies and a goal of maintaining reasonable regulation for the industry. He is also the ED of the Middle Fork Outfitters Association.
He was an active licensed guide for 17 years on many of Idaho’s rivers, particularly the Middle Fork on the Salmon. Grant has lived and worked in Idaho all but 2 years of his life. He is a graduate of Twin Falls High School and The College of Idaho. Grant lives in Boise with his wife Deborah and they have two grown sons, Jess and Gregg.
